IN-BETWEEN STATES
Portraits by Kim Hart
These portraits exist in the space between what is shown and what is quietly felt.
Kim Hart photographs the psychological moment where a person slips out of performance and into something more real,
a threshold where identity loosens, and the inner world surfaces.
Neither staged nor accidental, these images capture the soft break in a face, the suspended breath, the moment of fracture and return.
They reveal the subtle transitions of the human psyche,
internal landscapes that often pass unnoticed in everyday life.
In-between states are fragile and fleeting.
Here, they become visible.
